An integrated plan has been chalked out by the AJK government to overcome the shortage of milk and meat in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

A senior AJK government official told APP in Mirpur under the plan, the state government has decided to extend every possible assistance and incentives to the private sector intending to make investments in the dairy, poultry and vegetable sectors in the area.

The official continued that provision of latest equipment for the promotion and progress of dairy, poultry and vegetable farms and to get the power tariff reduced in AJK are the foremost priorities of the AJK government.

The government official said that bright prospects are available for the intending investors for establishment of the farms for production of dairy, poultry, fish and vegetable produces in the area.

He said the recent advent of fish, poultry and vegetable farms over one hundred kanal of land in Mirpur Azad Jammu Kashmir has provided job opportunities to hundreds of the jobless youths.
